Meet Khurram, a passionate and dedicated Route Manager who joined Abell in 2022, shortly after moving to Alberta from Ontario where he worked in a Team Leader role in the automotive industry upon immigrating from Pakistan. Encouraged by a friend to explore the pest control industry, Khurram quickly found his footing and a new career path at Abell. With the support and guidance of his supervisor, Khurram learned the ins and outs of pest control, building both his knowledge and confidence. This foundation has helped him thrive in his role. When he’s not working, you can find Khurram hanging out with friends or enjoying cricket—whether he’s playing or watching, the game is one of his passions. His advice for new team members? "Study well for your license and don’t hesitate to ask questions, no matter how silly they might seem. Take advantage of ride-a-longs with your supervisor and soak up all the insights from our fantastic quality team during training."

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 17th, celebrate World Honey Bee Day with us! At Abell, we're honouring this special day by planting wildflower gardens to support these vital pollinators. Honey bees are essential to our ecosystem and responsible for pollinating many of the fruits and vegetables we enjoy daily. Their work is crucial not only for our food supply but also for maintaining the beauty and health of our environment. Every third Saturday in August, we unite to recognize their incredible role and the dedication of the beekeepers who help safeguard them. Show your support by savouring and purchasing locally grown honey, and take a moment to appreciate the hardworking bees that keep our world vibrant and thriving.
