About us
ACE Laurier (formally known as DECA Laurier) is an organization under the Lazaridis Students’ Society (“LazSoc”) umbrella at Wilfrid Laurier University. LazSoc is a student-run organization with over 5400 undergraduate members dispersed between 24 clubs, associations and committees. ACE Laurier, is a practical training program and case competition-based organization led by a passionate executive team. Our mission is to develop well-rounded, future business leaders who are prepared for the workplace and beyond. We strive to enhance university education by providing the opportunity to apply knowledge to real-life situations and complex problems. Our unique training program and case-based method teach delegates to demonstrate leadership, active communication, collaboration and organization skills which in turn develop confidence and employability skills within the workplace. All efforts at ACE Laurier revolve around providing educational opportunities for students and preparing them for workplace expectations, along with real-world cases they may actually encounter. ACE Laurier is one of the largest of 23 ACE University Ontario Chapters, and we are excited to continue on our path of growth every year!
