Today is the International Day to Combat Islamophobia. Islamophobia isn’t just a relic of the past—it’s a lived reality for many. Hate crimes are rising, systemic discrimination continues, and too many Muslims face exclusion, fear, and violence daily. These experiences don’t exist in isolation; they intersect with racism, gender, immigration status, and more, compounding the challenges faced by marginalized communities. We all have a role in dismantling Islamophobia. Educate yourself, challenge bias, speak up, and support organizations advocating for Muslim rights. 📢 What action will you take today? A few days ago, we hosted an event for our service users to celebrate Black History Month, recognized in February. We explored the traditions of Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad, reflected on the significance of this month, and came together in a space of learning and connection. We're sharing a few moments from the day as we continue to celebrate Black history and uplift Black voices every day. #BlackHistoryMonth #CulturalCelebration #MentalHealthMatters #CommunitySupport

Yes! Our accent(s) are totally embedded in our identity, and viceversa. Truly, all of us express accent(s) in any language(s) we speak—even if we don’t notice it. Worse yet, even if we don’t accept it or recognize it.

Pink Shirt Day is a powerful reminder that bullying, discrimination, and exclusion have real consequences—especially for racialized youth and adults. Many face not just bullying, but also anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges as a result of isolation and systemic barriers. At Across Boundaries, we offer a range of mental health services, including our Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) program, which provides critical support to help youth heal and rebuild their confidence. Change starts with us. Let’s stand together to create spaces where kindness, respect, and inclusion thrive. #LetKindnessGrow Mental Health Support | Racialized Youth | Anti-Bullying
