Technology keeps changing, so we keep evolving. At ADGA Group, we keep stride with the emerging training requirements of Canada and our allies to ensure we’re ready to help when needed. We’ve evolved from developing custom training solutions, to developing a full reconfigurable simulator framework (Fulcon). More recently, we’ve identified and analyzed DND’s future capabilities and requirements across various training programs. We’ve also responded by developing a fully immersive virtual reality (VR) experience, with the ability to interact with real world objects within the VR scene. ADGA can support anything. We are all witnesses to a state of defence procurement that is hindered by a culture of near-zero tolerance for risk. While risk management is justified in principle, the practice of navigating multiple layers of governance and bureaucracy has resulted in many publicized perspectives about a “broken system” and stifled innovation. At ADGA Group, we prefer the benefits of Value-added Program Management (VaPM). This innovative relationship model does not simply augment traditional program teams on a piecemeal, bums-on-seats approach. Instead, VaPM focuses on delivering holistic program delivery capability. Beyond labour categories, we are defining the actual competencies of skilled experts who can get the job done. To this end, our client remains responsible for delivering results. While we operate to benchmarks, metrics and KPIs outlined by the department, the true value of applying a new program management approach to defence procurement is measured by our client. At ADGA Group, we are outcome driven and performance measured. We believe in focusing on capabilities, not just “capacity.” VaPM as a relationship model can effectively free up DND employees, both uniform and civilian, to work on other critical missions, while industry integrates and enhances capability. To learn more about our VaPM relationship model, please reach out to us.

Today marks National Indigenous Peoples Day across Canada, a day dedicated to honouring and celebrating the rich heritages and diverse cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Members of our team are attending the Ceremony of Remembrance for Indigenous Veterans, hosted by Aboriginal Veterans Autochtones at the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument in Confederation Park, Ottawa. During the ceremony, we are paying tribute to Indigenous veterans past and present who have served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. June 21st also marks the summer solstice, a significant event in Indigenous culture with celebrations taking place across the country. We acknowledge that the location of this ceremony is on the traditional lands of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation, and we express gratitude for their stewardship of this unceded territory. In attendance: Coleen Stewart, R.G.D., Andrée Paige, Bob Crane, Andrew Woodhead (laying the wreath) and Valerie Dake. #IndigenousMonth #IndigenousPeoplesDay #Indigenous #Veterans #summersolstice

80 years ago today, what we now know as D-Day became a pivotal moment in World War II. The Battle of Normandy, given the codename Operation Overlord at the time, led to the successful liberation of German-occupied Western Europe.   On 6 June 1944, about 156,000 soldiers crossed the English Channel to storm the beaches of Normandy, France. They forged ahead despite heavy fire and thousands of casualties, demonstrating the utmost courage and determination in the face of unimaginable odds. As we honour the heroes who fought and fell on Normandy’s shores—and those who returned home—let us never forget their extraordinary sacrifices, and those of their families. #NormandyInvasion #DDay #NeverForget #Canada #jourJ

Tonight has been a memorable evening! Commissionaires Ottawa is a proud sponsor of the Second Annual Veterans Networking Event at Ottawa City Hall, co-hosted by Councillors David Hill, Matthew Luloff, Steve Desroches, and veteran André Thivierge. The event is an excellent opportunity to unite members of the Ottawa Veterans Task Force and its vast network of public and private sector partners. Commissionaires Ottawa is also a dedicated member of the task force, with key advisory roles in the communications and second career transition sub-committees. The municipal task force is all about being a force multiplier within Ottawa’s ecosystem of support for veterans and their families. Despite services and programs available locally to assist members of the Canadian Armed Forces who are transitioning to a civilian life, we know that many military families face barriers in finding and accessing these services and programs. The Ottawa Veterans Task Force set out to change that. Today, the task force connects critical resources and helps remove barriers to improve local access to: adequate health care, affordable housing and appropriate career support services. #ottcity #ottnews #Ottawa #commissionaires #veterans #networking #jobs #careers #healthcare #affordablehousing

June is National Indigenous History Month. We are grateful for the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across Canada. At ADGA Group, we are working on the next phase of achieving the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Committed Level (Bronze certification) developed by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. Through persistent and progressive steps, we want Indigenous Peoples to know we have a safe and inclusive working environment and are good business partners. We honour their history and remain committed to building and growing Indigenous learning, awareness and transformation.
