“What does it mean for your practice to take a Quantum Leap?”   On September 12, 2024 we explored this question as Advocis Toronto hosted our Professional Development Conference at Richmond Hill Country Club. This has always been one of our premier events every year, and this year was no exception as we brought together a room of the best and brightest in the industry focusing on the concept of a “Quantum Leap” for your advisory practice and becoming the Trusted Advisor to your clients.   This year was extra special as we were joined by our Keynote Speaker, Derek Strokon - BA (Econ), CPC, who inspired us with the message that the secret to being a truly happy millionaire is to earn two million dollars and giving away one million. To that end, Derek led our group in giving back by organizing for all attendees to write messages of inspiration and affirmation on more than 100 baseballs and shipping them to children in Uganda through Sammy Torres Jr. and BaseballFace Cares, Inc.   🎥 This video captures the magic of the day. What a day! Last Thursday we wrapped up our Advocis Professional Development Conference. This has always been one of our premier events of the year, and this year was no different!   Centered around the concept of the Quantum Leap, we were able to hear from experts on how advisors can incorporate the right partnerships to be the Trusted Advisor for their clients and have their business take that large leap forward.   Big thanks to Derek Strokon - BA (Econ), CPC for a wonderful keynote speech on the transformative power of being an entrepreneur who establishes philanthropy as a core part of their business model. Derek taught us that the secret to being the happiest millionaire is to make two million dollars and give away a million.   To top it all off, we had a great day of networking and peer-to-peer learning. Thanks to everyone who attended, and we’ll see you at the next one!

I'm on a high and I don't ever wanna come down... How do you put into words, 100 amazing financial advisors sending messages of encouragement on baseballs to kids in Uganda??? What an electric day with Advocis and Advocis Toronto Chapter talking about giving and Impact and becoming a Philanthropreneur, doing what we're meant to do as humans, lifting other humans up! And getting to meet Giselle Saati, MBA from The Veritas Foundation in person for the first time after knowing each other for years! A huge thank you to Alaeddine Jabri, CFP®, CLU®, CHS™ , Cindy Marques, CFP® and Frank Mastroianni for the opportunity to come and share. And to all the amazing advisors who wrote incredible messages on the baseballs and who pitched in to help pay for the shipping costs of these affirmation baseballs that will be going to kids in Uganda with Sammy Torres Jr. and BaseballFace Cares, Inc. So grateful to see Jay Morrow and Ted Girard, BA, CFP, CHS, CLU again in person after so long. Was a great surprise! My heart is full. My tank is empty... poured alot of myself into this day. Gonna let the pilot fly me home while I sleep. Onward.
