🏠🏘️🏠 We are ready to deliver housing! And look forward to a renewed partnership with the City Of Hamilton to make it happen. At long last, the media and the public are becoming aware of what the development industry has understood for a number of years: That the housing crisis extends beyond the homeless - as terrible as that is - in depriving the overwhelming majority of our citizens access to housing and that a very significant contributor to this problem is the failure of local government to be effective and responsive in working with the development community to accelerate the delivery of housing without the imposition of massive costs, fees and taxes. We are also all aware - or should be - that the implications of this extend well beyond the industry’s suffering to include the crippling of our economy, standard of living, and any hope of a prosperous future for our children. Hamilton has suffered more than most. This needs to end. However we got here as a community - we are very appreciative of Mayor Horwath’s recent acknowledgement of the issues raised in Teviah Moro ‘s article in The Hamilton Spectator and her commitment to do better. As well as the demand by various councillors to find ways to take action. We look forward to working closely with Acting GM Steve Robichaud to explore and execute on solutions. Thank you Steve for speaking up! As the owner/developer of a significant amount of existing and future residential housing inventory in this city and a champion of investment, development and philanthropy in Hamilton, we are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. 💪 And we know that all of the developers in this community are similarly enthused to help solve this problem if given the chance and offered partnership and collaboration. (For those interested in educating themselves as to the extent of this crises a wonderful resource is Mike Moffatt, PhD and his Missing Middle initiative.) We must do better!
Twenty years ago, 41 of the 51 Canadian housing markets were affordable for middle-class families; today, only nine are. Back then, two housing markets were totally out of reach. Now, 17 are. To find out where your community lands, check this out: https://lnkd.in/gYbEkU4V

Over the past 60 years, our journey has been deeply rooted in the City of Burlington — a community that has shaped who we are today. What began as a practical decision to acquire land for feeding cattle has grown into something far greater. With every step taken, every business pursued, and every endeavour embraced, we have grown into what is now Alinea Land Corporation. Alinea represents the next chapter in our story — a reflection of our commitment to creating spaces that connect people, foster community, and prioritize sustainability. This legacy wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Burlington and the value that have guided us through decades of growth. Thank You Burlington, for being an essential part of our journey. Together, we honour the past, embrace the present, and look forward to a future filled with opportunity, progress, and community.

Alinea was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Mayor’s Luncheon with Marianne Meed Ward (C.Dir.), an event that brought together incredible leaders and changemakers from across our community. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, foster collaboration, and celebrate what makes Burlington and the surrounding region so special. On behalf of Louis Frapporti and the entire Alinea team, thank you Terry Caddo, the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and Jim Gray and colleagues from HFR-TGF for the invitation and conversation at lunch. We are delighted to hear that the dream of high speed rail connecting the GTHA and Montreal is alive and well and we where especially excited to hear Doug Ford paint an optimistic picture of provincial support for enabling infrastructure and economic investment. Alinea Land Corporation is ready and waiting to deliver thousands of homes, employment, educational, retail and hospitality infrastructure and programming to the region in partnership with the City of Burlington, our regional political champions in Natalie Pierre and Effie Triantafilopoulos and the many other key stakeholders in Burlington that make it such a wonderful community. Big projects indeed! 👊
It was a pleasure to hear from Doug Ford at lunch today on a host of topics ranging from trade with the US, the need for major infrastructure projects to the the growth of the Ontario economy. Daniel Tisch, APR, FCPRS, ICD.D of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce was a great moderator as always. Thank you to Jim Gray from HFR- TGF for the invitation for myself and guest Louis Frapporti of Alinea Land Corporation. Jim and Lou are big idea people working on big idea projects with big idea companies. It was good to connect with our local MPP’s Natalie Pierre and Effie Triantafilopoulos and many Burlington Chamber of Commerce members at the event.
