New EU Travel Changes: What You Need to Know 🚨 Starting November 10, travellers from non-EU countries (including Canada and the U.S.) will need to follow new entry requirements with the launch of the EU Entry-Exit System (EES). While these changes may seem daunting, there’s no need to panic! Here’s what you need to know: Biometric Registration: You’ll now be required to provide fingerprints and a digital photograph upon entering the EU. This is part of a new effort to enhance security and streamline border checks. Visa Waiver Requirement: If you're from one of the 60 visa-free countries, including Canada, you'll need to apply for a €7 (CAD $10.06) visa waiver before entering the Schengen zone. Once approved, it's valid for 3 years and multiple trips! Possible Delays: Some travelers may experience delays at border crossings as the new system rolls out. French and UK authorities are working to minimize disruptions, but allow extra time at checkpoints just in case. Why You Shouldn’t Worry: These changes are designed to keep your travels safe and smooth. As long as you’re prepared and apply for your visa waiver in advance, your trip should go off without a hitch! Need help navigating these new rules? I’m here to assist and ensure you’re all set for your European adventures. 🌍✈️ #ALTOTravel #TravelwithALTO #TravelWithConfidence #EUTravel #EES2024 #stayprepared #traveladvisor #europe #travelrules #traveleurope

Exciting Travel Trends for Fall/Winter 2024! As the year progresses, here are the top 5 trends to watch, based on insights from the latest industry report by Finn Partners: European Destinations Stay Hot in Cooler Months: Travelers are skipping the crowded summer months and booking trips to Europe in the fall and winter. With lower airfares and fewer crowds, destinations like Santorini, Copenhagen, and London are seeing high demand well into the colder months. Quiet Travel on the Rise: More travelers are looking for peace and quiet, with searches for "quiet places" and "calm getaways" surging. Properties like Songtsam Resorts in Tibet and secluded cliffside retreats in Santorini are catering to this trend, offering digital detoxes and serene escapes. Incentives for Sustainable Travel: Sustainability is more than a buzzword—it's becoming a necessity. Cities like Copenhagen are leading the way with programs like “CopenPay,” rewarding travelers for sustainable actions such as biking instead of driving or participating in urban gardening. ‘Gramping’ Gains Popularity in Family Travel: Skip-generation travel—where grandparents travel with their grandkids—is trending. Resorts like Evermore Orlando are specially designed for group travel, providing tailored experiences for families, including multi-room villas and engaging activities for all ages. Emotionally-Charged Travel Experiences: Travelers are now seeking authentic, emotion-driven experiences where property staff play a key role. Brands like Seabourn Cruises and Turtle Island Resort in Fiji are leading the way with highly personalized service, creating memorable moments and building genuine connections between staff and guests.
