Individuals with dementia are vulnerable to scams, which often occur online or via phone, where they may be pressured into disclosing personal information. Everyone deserves to enjoy their retirement years without the anxiety of becoming a victim of fraud, scams, or financial exploitation. Some steps to help protect individuals with dementia from scams include: - Providing education about common types of scams and highlighting their potential dangers - Advising against responding to unknown callers or unfamiliar emails - Establishing a support network for discussing unsolicited communications and designating a trusted individual to assist in preventing engagement with potential scammers Read more about online safety here: https://ow.ly/XnnJ50U3bS5
