Our gold-winning project for the 2024 masi Design Awards restaurant category: On The Lake. "The design speaks to the Baja coast - earthy, textural, and authentic. Cool, smooth concrete and tile set against the more tactile plaster walls, provide a subtle nod to the quintessential cantina ambiance. Here's a look at our Willow Park kitchen and main entry renovation. This neighbourhood features many Mid-century Modern inspired homes with low-slung roof lines and oversized windows, merging the indoors and outdoors. By elevating and modernizing the house with classic MCM details, the home evolved aesthetically and functionally to suit the current homeowners. Time-honoured MCM design details permeate the kitchen design. This was achieved through various details, including the raised linear stiles in the warm-toned cabinetry to achieve clean, consistent lines throughout. Sylvan Lake Residence is complete and we're feeling all kinds of joy. This project was inspired by our client’s trip to the Santa Monica Proper Hotel.
