Congratulations to all contributing authors, including Daud Silitonga, awang wibowo, and Reza Ardiansyah from PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals, as well as Rendy Nurdianto and Mukhlis Saputro for their valuable research and assistance. The Shallut deposit contains Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources of 2.7 million tonnes at 11.7 g/t Au, totaling 1 million ounces of gold. This classic quartz vein-hosted gold deposit, adjacent to the Toguraci deposit, highlights the region’s potential and its epithermal architecture. Since its discovery in 1994, the Gosowong gold mine on Halmahera Island, North Maluku Province, Indonesia, has produced over 6.7 million ounces of gold, averaging 290,000 ounces per year as of 2022 (S&P Global, 2024). The ongoing exploration at Gosowong continues to reveal high-grade gold-silver veins, adding to its rich history.
