Safety on-site is our top priority. That’s why we have team members like Zainab Al Shawaf, Health and Safety Coordinator, dedicated to putting your safety first.  A major part of Amico’s daily activities center on keeping workers safe, especially on job sites where proper safety protocols and management systems are crucial to avoiding incidents. Zainab wanted to be an agent of change in reducing hazards on site by providing the necessary tools to stay safe.  Her passion for others' safety led her to taking an active role in our Health & Safety program.   Throughout her Health and Safety career, Zainab has made significant strides in safety management, but her proudest achievement is the trust and relationships she has built with her colleagues. Being a trusted voice on site allows her to communicate effectively with teams to uphold life changing safety standards every day.   Zainab believes that young women entering the construction industry can succeed with the support of role models and mentors. This support empowers them to embrace more challenges, ask questions and continue learning. She’s proud to be working at a company that actively hires women in various roles, and empowers them to succeed. Having a tangible impact on people's daily lives is what inspired Megan Lewry, Assistant Project Manager, to pursue a career in construction. Her passion for the industry comes from being part of transformative projects that can shape communities for generations to come. Currently, Megan is contributing to the construction of a 14-storey retirement home, with 143 suites – creating a place that future residents will call home. This experience fuels her dedication to making a difference in communities. Construction offers diverse opportunities to match differing skill sets, and Dasol Lee, Estimating Coordinator, exemplifies just that. With her strong analytical skills, she was drawn to estimating for its hands-on involvement and the opportunity to help shape successful projects. She enjoys being able to balance costs, resources and timelines to ensure everything runs smoothly. One of Dasol’s proudest moments was when she successfully coordinated a challenging project with a constantly evolving scope, requiring her to adapt quickly. Seeing the teams' efforts come to life and knowing she played a pivotal role in that success was incredibly rewarding for her.
