Sprucing up Hawks Ridge, one tree at a time.   Earlier this month, 14 of our Edmonton team members partnered with the City of Edmonton's Root for Trees program, planting over 180 trees and shrubs to enhance the natural beauty of our Hawks Ridge community.   With 320,000+ trees and shrubs planted since 2013, Root for Trees is dedicated to expanding Edmonton’s urban forest by empowering Edmontonians to make a difference. On October 15th, we celebrated the opening of the first phase of Cornerstone Regional Park in Northeast Calgary, joined by Ward 5 Councillor Raj Dhaliwal for the special occasion.   Constructed in collaboration with The City of Calgary, this first phase boasts a new outdoor hockey rink, basketball court, playground and adult fitness equipment.   “We are thrilled about the progress made by The City in bringing the concept of Cornerstone Regional Park closer to reality, an incredible addition not for only the residents in our community, but for the region as well,” said Craig Dickie, Anthem’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.   This multi-phase park will also include trails, boardwalks and future amenities like volleyball courts, picnic spots and a bike park— all connected to a 120-acre Environmental Reserve.   The second playground and park space will open in 2025.
