We are pleased to announce the publication of our article titled "A Moderate Confinement O-, S-, C-, and L-Band Silicon Nitride Platform Enabled by a Rapid Prototyping Integrated Photonics Foundry Process" in IEEE Photonics Journal. The paper discusses the features of our silicon nitride integrated photonics platform and the performance of the various components included in its PDK, which are commercially available to our customers through our NanoSOI Design Center: https://lnkd.in/gxpFhUaC This work is the culmination of a long-standing project we have had with Jonathan Bradley's research group at McMaster University, which has become a thriving collaboration between academia and industry as we continue to develop our SiN process capabilities. Many thanks to all our co-authors and collaborators involved, and to IEEE for publishing the paper. Please reach out to us if you are interested in having your silicon nitride devices fabricated using our rapid prototyping process! Congratulations M.Amin Mahdian, Kaveh (Hassan) Rahbardar Mojaver, Mahdi Nikdast et al! Another successful publication enabled by the NanoSOI prototyping service.
Researchers have made significant advancements in silicon photonic physical unclonable functions (PUFs) for enhancing security in optical communication networks. Published in Scientific Reports, the study details the design, fabrication, and evaluation of advanced PUFs using Contra-Directional Coupler (CDC) structures. These photonic PUFs generate unique identifiers by leveraging inherent physical variations, offering robust security without the vulnerabilities associated with electronic PUFs. The innovative design enhancements and experimental validation underscore the potential of CDC-based PUFs to provide secure key generation and authentication in modern optical communication systems. https://lnkd.in/gV5ihi3y Citation: Figure 2 is from Mahdian, M.A., Taheri, E., Rahbardar Mojaver, K. et al.
