Sometimes it's a tough decision picking a quarterly safety award winner and other times it's an easy choice. This time we had someone that really stood out so the choice was simple. Yesterday we presented Aquicon Construction's Project Manager, Ivan Fernandes, with our Q3 safety award. Ivan's efforts to elevate the level of safety on his projects have not gone unnoticed this year. He's been proactive with completing site inspections and out of the entire company, he's identified the 2nd most number of safety issues in 2024. Addressing safety concerns and having them corrected goes such a long way towards keeping our sites safer for everyone. On the way up to Ontario Municipal Administrators' Association (OMAA), stopped by to see the freshly opened Muskoka Lumber Community Centre in Bracebridge and it’s looking beautiful inside & out thanks to so many folks and their efforts (including Melanie Morris!) More details to come…

MSB was a proud partner on this 117,000 square-foot Twin-pad Arena and Library in partnership with Aquicon Construction, Smith + Anderson and MJMA Architecture & Design. The arena is now fully functioning and being used by the community!

We are happy to announce the opening of the new Wasaga Beach library, a collaborative project involving MJMA Architecture & Design, Aquicon Construction, Donmor Drywall, and the Town of Wasaga Beach. The design of the library incorporates natural light, with the Atkar ceiling specifically designed to channel light from the floor to ceiling windows into the center of the space. Team Atkars value engineering and customization were integral to creating the sloped perimeter portions of the ceiling, resulting in a striking architectural feature for the library. An impressive 10,600 square feet of Au.diSlat Grille in a painted white finish covers the library ceiling!
