Great news from the Canadian Government. 🎉 The Honourable Anita Anand, President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Transport, recently announced that the Canadian government will be buying carbon removal. We hope that this initial investment of $10 million in CDR services will generate experience in government needed for larger scale purchases in the future. “Every day feels like I’m piecing together an intricate jigsaw puzzle,” says Mira Karia, Arca’s Financial Controller. “I work with different stakeholders, such as the leadership team, HR, banks and auditors.” Mira is key in the financial setup of our Australian subsidiary. “With this expansion, there are challenges in integrating systems, processes and cultures. It’s complex, but an exciting journey,” Mira shares. On the work culture at Arca, Mira says, "It's very collaborative. We all get together for lunch-and-learn sessions, as well as quarterly progress updates to keep everyone aligned.
