Great news from the Canadian Government. 🎉 The Honourable Anita Anand, President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Transport, recently announced that the Canadian government will be buying carbon removal. We hope that this initial investment of $10 million in CDR services will generate experience in government needed for larger scale purchases in the future. Rocking CO2 to stabilize the climate.
About us
We remove excess CO2 from the atmosphere and transform it into rocks, for gigatonne-scale impact with an ultralight footprint. We believe that to stabilize our climate we need to make big, bold moves and leverage the existing footprints of large-scale industrial operations. That is why we are developing strategic partnerships with global producers of critical materials. Because we leverage historical mine waste and operate within existing industrial sites, our pathway has a light footprint on the environment and local communities.

“Every day feels like I’m piecing together an intricate jigsaw puzzle,” says Mira Karia, Arca’s Financial Controller. “I work with different stakeholders, such as the leadership team, HR, banks and auditors.” Mira is key in the financial setup of our Australian subsidiary. “With this expansion, there are challenges in integrating systems, processes and cultures. It’s complex, but an exciting journey,” Mira shares. On the work culture at Arca, Mira says, "It's very collaborative. We all get together for lunch-and-learn sessions, as well as quarterly progress updates to keep everyone aligned. It’s both informative and fascinating." #GreatPlaceToWork #GreatPlaceToRock #CarbonDioxideRemoval #RockingCO2 #environment #climatechange #innovation #climateaction #carbonremoval

As the sun rises at our pilot site in Western Australia ☀️ , we are reminded that each day is an opportunity to push forward our purpose – to stabilize the climate. Through our technologies, we accelerate the natural process of carbon mineralization – transforming carbon dioxide from the air into rock, storing it permanently. Every day, our teams in Vancouver and Australia work tirelessly, driven by the commitment to fight climate change. Join us on our journey at www.arcaclimate.com, and let’s work together towards a healthier planet, one sunrise at a time. #GreatPlaceToWork #GreatPlaceToRock #CarbonDioxideRemoval #RockingCO2 #environment #climatechange #innovation #climateaction #carbonremoval

“We are living through a climate emergency - more and more we are dealing with forest fires, droughts and storms. And here is a company that is actually trying to fix that, for good,” shares Artem, our Senior Program Manager, on what led him to Arca. “I wanted to work on problems that matter.” "Right now, I’m working with carbon credit market buyers and partners,” reflects Artem. “The work is exciting and dynamic, and there’s always something new to do and learn.” On the impact of his work, Artem says, “It’s really rewarding, knowing that I’m doing something that really matters. And if we succeed, we could genuinely change the world for the better.” #GreatPlaceToWork #GreatPlaceToRock #CarbonDioxideRemoval #RockingCO2 #environment #climatechange #innovation #climateaction #carbonremoval

At Arca, we are committed to helping push the carbon dioxide removal industry forward. We recently shared our insights in several important conversations. Our Co-Founder and Head of Operations Bethany Ladd contributed to the Vancouver Tech Journal's BC Women Leading in ClimateTech, moderated by Sarah Goodman, CEO of the B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE). Our Head of External Affairs Sean Lowrie contributed to Carbon Removal Canada's Workshop: Defining Responsible and Respectful Carbon Removal Deployment, together with our partner Jesse McCormick from the First Nations Major Projects Coalition. Our Policy Analyst Beatrice Kigodi contributed to the Canadian Carbon Solutions Coalition reception. It’s been an honor for Arca to participate in these discussions with other innovators and industry leaders. To scale carbon dioxide removal, everyone has a part to play. Thank you Dean Chamberland, Sunni Chen and the Canadian Carbon Solutions Coalition for the photos! #GreatPlaceToWork #GreatPlaceToRock #CarbonDioxideRemoval #RockingCO2 #environment #climatechange #innovation #climateaction #carbonremoval
