We’re pleased to share images from our partnership with Grand River Modular on the Minisi—a 350 sq. ft. fully contained, offsite-manufactured home. Built entirely in Grand River Modular's Brantford facility and delivered to the site complete, this home offers faster construction, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards that are impossible to achieve with traditional site-built homes. Plus, it's highly livable, and feels much more spacious than its 'studio' label suggests. For us, the biggest takeaway from this project has been the process. GRM welcomed us into their team, encouraging us to think like the carpenters, plumbers, and electricians who would bring the project to life. This collaboration flipped our usual approach—focusing on the details from the outset and considering how the home would be built and transported. We are committed and excited to apply the intentional spirit of collaboration to our current and future projects.

Recently we presented our design for the winter campus of the Le Rosey boarding school in Gstaad, Switzerland, to the public. The concept for the campus ensemble is inspired by the vernacular architecture of Gstaad and will enter into a dialogue with the existing structures in the surrounding area. The new timber school building will be used by 400 international students. A common light flooded atrium connects all floors, provides access to the classrooms, and offers an open learning and social landscape on different levels with a learning center on top. The federal government has unveiled their long-awaited $1.5 billion co-op housing program, marking the largest federal investment into new co-op housing in three decades. The program was co-designed by CHF Canada and aims to fund several thousand new co-op units by 2028 through a combination of grants and loans. Co-operatives are one of the few models that can provide long-term affordable rents outside the private market, offering greater housing stability and security.
