We’re proud to announce our partnership with GreenShield, Canada’s only national non-profit health and benefits company, to deliver essential mental health support to the one in twenty Albertans working in Alberta's social sector. This initiative seeks to address the pressing need for mental health resources and support for those committed to social change. Beginning with a two-year pilot phase, this project will provide quality and tailored mental health support. The pilot’s learnings will inform future work that further impacts those working in the social sector. These dedicated individuals are on the frontline of addressing complex social issues, and research from Mental Health Research Canada has revealed the mental health challenges faced by Albertans working in the social sector. As we recognize World Mental Health Day on October 10, it serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize mental health for everyone. Read more about our partnership here: https://lnkd.in/dH-xPq3d

The tide is turning on inflation, setting the stage for a "softish" landing for Canada's economy. Despite a few bumps in the road, Alberta is showing promising signs for 2025. Here's what's driving Alberta's economic outlook: • Increased market access • Downstream energy investment • Population growth fueling construction While challenges like sluggish labour productivity and housing affordability remain, Alberta's GDP is expected to outpace the national average next year. "Alberta’s economy is expected to gather more momentum in 2025, driven by enhanced market access for energy, residential construction activity, and growth in emerging industries.” said our Chief Economist, Mark Parsons. “But the battle against inflation has left a toll and geopolitical risks are elevated, which should keep consumers and businesses cautious”. We'll be back to power your safe ride home (or to your next destination) from the Canadian Finals Rodeo on October 2-5! 🤠
The Calgary Stampede is a big deal. Not only is it the world's largest outdoor rodeo, it also attracts over 1.4 million visitors every year. Being the largest financial institution headquartered in Western Canada, and being proudly Albertan, ATB Financial has been activating at the Stampede for a long time. But never like this. ATB Financial deployed a fleet of branded vehicles that provided consumers with free rides home from the Stampede. With daytime highs in the high 30s, consumers loved that they were able to get home quickly, safely, and comfortably. Safe to say, consumers loved the giveaway: ✨ "This is like a miracle, I feel so lucky, I really needed this” 🏆 “Wow ATB takes the trophy on best give away” 😍 "You guys are a lifesaver. Like a miracle” Take a look at the video provided by Eli Clark summarizing the activation!

Today, we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by recognizing Residential School survivors, their families, and their communities. As a purpose-driven organization, ATB acknowledges the Truth & Reconciliation Commissions’ Calls to Action for public commemoration on the history and legacy of residential schools as it is a vital part of the reconciliation process. Together, we are committed to building a more inclusive future, driven by our dedication to power possibility for everyone. We encourage all Albertans to honour the day by taking time to listen, learn, reflect and show support by attending community events of commemoration of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
