On September 26, 2024, the Public Health Agency of Canada launched a National Autism Strategy. The Strategy is a multi-year action plan that supports federal implementation of the Framework for Autism in Canada. The release of Canada’s National Autism Strategy is an important development. We are currently conducting a thorough review of the report and will provide our insights in the near future. Please stay tuned for further updates as we continue our advocacy for individuals on the Autism Spectrum, their families, and caregivers. #AutismCanada #Autism #ASD

Today honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as the Survivors, their families, and communities. Wearing orange on this day is a way to acknowledge the impact of residential schools and stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. Let’s continue to reflect, learn, and commit to meaningful actions toward reconciliation. For those who need support, a national Residential School Survivor Crisis Line is available 24/7: 1-866-925-4419. #NDTR #TruthAndReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters #AutismCanada

They even accommodate support members virtually to enhance comfort and success. Still not yet sold? Listen to this feedback given from a recent customer: "Thank you so much for allowing Dash to participate in yesterday’s Minecraft class. He had a lot of wonderful things to say about the entire experience. Julia was awesome, from both his perspective and mine. Dash is selectively mute, and though Julia made him feel completely comfortable communicating by chat for the first half of the class, by the time he returned from break, he was communicating verbally with no reservations. I have never heard him quite so animated in a group of strangers, which was incredible for me, as a mom, to watch. Julia’s instructions were easy to follow and she was so patient with the kids. She allowed herself to be silly, and gave encouragement when they needed it. She guided them calmly and pleasantly, and she played with them. She earned their trust so quickly, and mine as well. She has a gift for teaching neurodivergent children" Check out their Fall Virtual and In-person schedules here: https://buff.ly/3ZhAM5C Explore private and semi-private group lessons: https://buff.ly/4d3onVY Join MakerKids to provide your child with a fun and impactful STEM education experience! #AutismCanada #MakerKids #Neurodiversity #STEMLearning #InclusiveEducation
