On June 20th, #TeamBantrel Edmonton, along with Root for Trees and Tree Canada / Arbres Canada, joined forces for a special initiative to enrich our community. The sun was shining, and conditions were perfect for planting. Together our group planted a remarkable 189 trees and shrubs, which we hope will not only enhance the aesthetic of the nearby walking path, but also help nurture the local ecosystem. We’re looking forward to revisiting again soon and seeing firsthand the growth and impact of our efforts. #TreeCanada #PartnersinPlanting #RootforTrees #TeamBantrel #Community #Sustainability Vern Ryan Vaishali Jadhav Andrzej Tomalik Zoran Stojanovic Paul Dean Gausul Azam, M.Eng. On July 20–21 our #TeamBantrel riders will come together to participate in this year’s Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer. And while our pledge is to raise money for cancer treatment and research and to ride for those we love and those we’ve lost, Bantrel has decided to weave another layer of meaning into the ride. This year, partnered with Métis artist, Leah Marie Dorion, and Métis designer, kim Vizi-carmen, Bantrel chose to feature a vibrant and meaningful piece of work from Dorion, titled Métis Stages of Life; the message behind it shows the beauty in life, no matter where you are in your journey. Adorned by the empowering story on this year’s jerseys we approach our ride with pride and hope for #moremoments and an inclusive tomorrow. “This painting tells the story of moving through the four stages of life from birth, youth, adulthood, and eldership, as represented by the four hills of life metaphor. These four hills of life represent the hills we all have to climb in order to move through each of the four stages of life. Each hill has its blessings and challenges. Located under each hill of life are four turtles bonded by the flowing infinity symbols which show our need to be connected the earth and water. On each of the four earth turtles’ backs are smaller turtles which represent the growth process and wisdom we all gain as we grow. Water is life and the underground water current connects everything in this artwork, the sacred water moves like a DNA strand through the tree of life to represent our Métis ancestral connections that flow through us all. The ancestor tree in the painting provides a protective canopy over the Métis people, in the canopy of the tree is another representation of life cycles such as flower, fruit, maturity, and our eventual return to spirit, among the stars. The breath of life enters us at birth and leaves us all when we go back to spirit. Life is a beautiful and mysterious journey.” – Leah Dorion #EnbridgeTourAlbertaforCancer #TeamBantrel #TourAlbertaforCancer #AlbertaCancerSociety #NIHM2024 Leah Dorion kim Vizi-carmen Jenessa Fett Adam MacKay Charmaine Hayes Noel Alcaraz De Jesus Lindsay Huys Angelo Dela Rosa Stephanie Supino Goran Kragulj Cortney Fedirko David Fabbro Orest Ilkiw Title: Métis Stages of Life

Today and every day, we recognize and celebrate the many contributions and achievements made by women engineers in their communities, their industries, and throughout their careers. Though the number is rising, women are still underrepresented as engineering professionals. At Bantrel, our leadership and Women@Bantrel committee are dedicated to challenging this imbalance through best practices in recruitment, retention, and professional development. We collaborate closely with like-minded partners to foster an inclusive environment and are proud to continue breaking barriers and supporting equity together. #INWED #STEM #InternationalWomeninEngineeringDay #TeamBantrel #allies #EnhancedByEngineering #WomeninEngineering #WomeninSTEM #EmbraceEquity

Throughout this month, we at Bantrel have looked for meaningful ways to celebrate and build our understanding of Indigenous heritage, culture, and community. In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, our offices came together over Bannock, a traditional Indigenous food. It’s experiences and opportunities like these that broaden our appreciation and knowledge of this diverse Indigenous history and culture. We encourage you share in this journey by attending local events happening throughout this month. https://lnkd.in/gn4qJvKc #June21 #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay #NIPD #NIPD2024 #TeamBantrel

Yesterday was a fantastic day spent at the annual North West Redwater Partnership employee golf tournament. It’s quickly become a highlight we look forward to attending. There’s something special about connecting a face to a name and forging meaningful relationships along the way. Add some sun and golf and you get an unbeatable atmosphere. After a 55-hour major track closure last weekend, the project team achieved their final major milestone with the installation and commissioning of the new 5 Bay Kingston Signal Bridge. This concludes a highly complex and challenging series of track and signal asset cutovers and clears the way for the construction of iconic Lower Don Bridge. These works were delivered safely, ahead of schedule, within budget and all performed within a live operational rail environment.
