It's been an amazing month for Beauceron Security. We've had fantastic response to the insights we've been sharing about #cybersecurity #awareness, #phishing and so much more on social media and on two major episodes of #cybersecuritytoday thanks to our friend Jim Love, FCMC. I've had chats with folks from the west coast of the US and Canada , from New York to São Paulo (and thank you all for great chats, sending on more research papers to read, requests to present to your teams and so much more!). And I thought I'd share this milestone. As of October, we've sent authorized phishing simulations to more than 1,015,000 people across more than 1,000 organizations. We've sent tens of millions of phishes and are applying lessons learned to our cybersecurity education, platform and sharing with leading researchers around the world. When we talk about remote work and #cybersecurity, it often quickly shifts to the #risks. But there may also be some benefit. In Beauceron Security's most recent survey results of more than 170,000 people, folks who responded that they do work remotely have a 24% lower median average click rate and a massively higher (57%!) median average report rate. Report rate in is an interesting metric as I've mentioned before because it is less susceptible to phish lure difficulty and a better indicator of knowledge and attitude. It also is an important employee security culture engagement metric. I have some theories why remote work may help when it comes to phishing. It includes the potential for less distractions and more focused work. It also includes better employee work-life balance and less stress. All of these are questions I'd love to research further in the future, including studying click rates for in-office, hybrid and fully remote workers. What do you think about these findings?
