🌍✨ What does it take to scale real change? Last week at Energy Disruptors #UNITE2024, our Chief Impact Officer, Sona Khosla, explored this question in an inspiring panel alongside Jacinda Ardern, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Jad Shimaly, Global Managing Partner at EY. Sona shared key lessons from Benevity’s journey, highlighting how a bottom-up approach — empowering every individual in an organization to support the causes they care about — is crucial for driving change at scale. Were you at #UNITE2024? We’d love to hear your main takeaways! 👇 #ClimateAction #Energy #EDU2024 #EnergyDisruptors #CSR

Feeling the pressure at work? You’re not alone. This year’s #WorldMentalHealthDay theme – Mental Health at Work – shines a light on the vital link between mental health and our professional lives. In a recent workshop hosted by our Mental Health ERG, stress management coach Victoria Smith shared simple yet powerful strategies for managing stress at work. 👇 Here are her top tips: 🔹 Acknowledge the challenge: Don’t ignore stress — face it. Recognizing it is the first step toward reducing its impact and finding a way forward. 🔹 Set an intention: Whether it’s a professional goal or personal growth, having a clear focus helps you stay grounded during stressful times. 🔹 Let go of non-essentials: Collaborate with your team to identify what can be paused or dropped. Protecting your energy is key to maintaining well-being. 🔹 Practice the 5x5 rule: Add 5 small habits to your day, each taking 5 minutes or less. These micro self-care moments – such as deep breathing or walking – can help you reset and refocus. 🔹 Celebrate progress: Every win, big or small, counts. Recognizing your resilience is essential to managing stress and staying motivated. Thank you to Victoria for sharing these powerful tips with us and to our Mental Health ERG for leading such an important conversation! 💙 #WMHD #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAtWork #StressManagement #ERGs #EmployeeResourceGroup

We pulled together for a purpose — literally! 💪🛫 Team Benevity was honored to participate in this year’s Haul for Hope challenge hosted by the Vancouver Airport Authority in support of Hope Air’s life-saving mission to provide medical travel for Canadians in need. Our inspiration? Zoe, a brave young girl who travels every 10 days for critical treatment, made possible through Hope Air’s support. Thanks to the $12K raised by our incredible community, we’re proud to help fund 7 of Zoe’s trips. A huge thank you to Vancouver Airport Authority, Hope Air and everyone who participated or donated. The impact you’ve all made goes far beyond the runway! 💙 #HopeAir #HaulForHope #Volunteering #YVR #SocialImpact

We all have a shared responsibility to learn from and with Indigenous Peoples and to honor their rights, resilience and lived experiences – both past and present. True transformation begins when we actively listen, learn and stand in solidarity, guided by the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Social change is not only about shifting hearts and minds, but about fostering relationships rooted in respect, equity and justice. Here are four ways to advance your reconciliation journey: ➡️ Discover the original stewards of your land by visiting www.native-land.ca ➡️ Read Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission Reports and explore the 94 Calls to Action: https://bit.ly/3zqBGSS ➡️ Support the impactful work of nonprofits such as Reconciliation Canada, The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, Indspire, Water First Education & Training Inc. and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. ➡️ Explore Indigenous books, podcasts and media to deepen your understanding. Consider reading "21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act" by Bob Joseph, "The Inconvenient Indian" by Thomas King or listening to the Warrior Life podcast by Pam Palmater. #NDTR #EveryChildMatters #Indigenous #IndigenousPeoples #IndigenousPhilanthropy
