Combined provincial team camps bring together larger training groups and increase connections among biathletes across Canada. Supporting these camps is a key piece of our strategy to retain athletes through their teenage years. We can measure their impact in part by the number of U19 competitors in our national level competitions. Over the past three years, these numbers have been trending up!

With this equipment biathlon is being made available at a variety of new locations. This July, athletes and coaches from Saskatchewan biathlon clubs were in Canmore for a summer training camp to develop their roller skiing and target shooting skills. Biathlon Canada is providing funding for Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations across the country to support the development of more young biathletes. Look for a biathlon camp coming to your local club or region this season!
