To our community celebrating Diwali, the B.E.S team sends warm wishes and heartfelt blessings as you honor this special day. ✨ Diwali, the "Festival of Lights," carries profound significance in Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism. While traditions differ across these faiths, the shared celebration of light triumphing over darkness unites us all. May your Diwali be filled with love, joy, and prosperity. #HappyDiwali #FestivalOfLights #BESCommunity

As Islamic Heritage Month comes to a close in Canada, our last #WeSource is in honour of the incredible archival work being facilitated at Muslims in Canada Archives (MiCA). MiCA's goal is to preserve the history and documented heritage of Muslims in Canada through acquiring, organizing, preserving, and making accessible records of and about Canadian Muslim individuals and organizations. Through the development of programs and resources, MiCA supports communities to understand the value of archives and the significant role it plays in documenting rich histories. To read through the archives at MiCA, please visit their website shared here: https://lnkd.in/gz5P_9GD #BIPOCExecutiveSearch #Community #IslamicHeritageMonth #Archives #ArtsandCulture

Art, the curation of it, as well as the communities that local galleries serve remain pivotal to the foundations and nourishment of the places we call home. Whippersnapper Gallery is an non-profit artist-run gallery that provides emerging artists and cultural workers with a platform to expand the parameters of their practice and develop ethical, rigorous relationships with communities, particularly racialized, queer, disabled and working class people. Creating critical and experimental community-engaged programming, the folx at Whippersnapper are here to create a more equitable future for the arts in Canada. Whippersnapper is viewable by the public 24 hours a day through fully exposed street level windows. The gallery is also structured to encourage peer-to-peer mentorship and create innovative programming that catalyzes social transformation. They offer space to experiment and confront displacement in the ever-gentrifying urban core in which we are situated. This week's #WeSource is in recognition of one of our favourite community-based farms located in Montreal, Quebec. Les Jardins de la Résistance has been selling seasonal vegetable baskets using the community-supported agriculture (CSA) model in Montreal, Châteauguay, La Prairie and directly on the farm (Ormstown) since 2009. The farm is certified organic by Ecocert Canada, and produces more than sixty varieties of vegetables, fruits and herbs, in both the summer and the winter. From traditional nightshades to winter greens, to bee hives that produce a unique floral-scented honey, Les Jardins de la Résistance seek to diversify the offerings of farm-fresh products. To learn more about the farm or discover where to purchase food baskets, please see their website shared here: https://lnkd.in/gJ6XKqU4. #BIPOCExecutiveSearch #Community #Farm #Montreal #CSA
