A huge thank you to our Noventa Energy Partners Toronto Western Hospital WET System Project team for hosting a collaborative HECA Calibration Workshop with Bird leaders across safety, operations, and our Ontario Buildings group, as well as AtkinsRéalis. Led by Arnaldo Bayona from the Construction Safety Research Alliance, we aligned on best practices for High Energy Control Assessments (HECA) and pre-job briefs. HECAs improve worker safety by ensuring there is a direct control in place to reduce or eliminate hazards on site. With such an exciting and complex undertaking like the Noventa Toronto Western Hospital WET project, this workshop was the perfect opportunity to perform HECAs on high-energy work activities and engage our workers in the field. We are proud to contribute to safer work environments and reduce SIF incidents!
