  • Since the avian influenza outbreak began in March last year, the US has seen a total of 70 human cases, including one death, marking the nation’s largest outbreak of influenza A(H5N1) in its history. New research suggests that case counts are underestimated, meaning the virus can continue to spread and mutate. No human-to-human transmission has been reported, but experts are closely monitoring for changes in disease risk. Interested in staying up to date on influenza A (H5N1) globally? I think this highlights how dangerous it is to rely on single source for our info. There are great 3 rd party sources out there like BlueDot
