Yesterday morning, Brian G. Belski spoke to BNN Bloomberg about the Bank of Canada's recent rate cut and why his TSX year-end target remains at 25,500. "This 50 basis point cut was the Bank of Canada cutting into a non-recessionary environment … historically that really portends to future performance of the TSX doing very well, and that's exactly what we've seen." Brian G. Belski joined BNN Bloomberg this morning to discuss the top U.S. sectors to invest in. "You have to own a little bit of everything … we've been long-term bulls on small-cap, on value, and on dividend growth, and we've seen a massive amount of broadening out." Last week we hosted a booth at #Sibos 2024 in Beijing, where our BMO experts spent the week engaging with clients and participating in critical discussions about the future of the industry.
We wrapped up #Sibos 2024 in Beijing on October 24 after an inspiring and productive four days. The event was filled with client meetings and industry updates through panel discussions. I’m really proud of the BMO booth and our team, represented by senior bankers from Global Financial Institutions Group, Transaction Banking Asia, the Sustainability Office, and BMO ChinaCo Beijing Office. The annual #Sibos event is always an excellent opportunity to engage with key clients in the banking sector, deepen relationships, and exchange ideas for further collaboration. While #Sibos 2024 has concluded, the conversations with our clients continue.

The decision to structure Spuncast as an ESOP in 2005 stemmed from the need to attract and retain the best employees and it’s also become a powerful tool for enhancing company culture and performance, making it a benefit to not just our employees but vendors and customers as well.” Learn more at: http://spr.ly/6046qNduu

Simeon Siegel, CFA joins CNBC noting how new Nike CEO Elliot Hill has a powerful team of established leaders committed to helping him succeed in his new role. “In the Disney press release, as they were walking Mark Parker out, they flagged that he is the Executive Chair of Nike and that he is leaving Disney to focus on his other areas of work. If Mark is taking a bigger hand in the business as Elliott steps in, I mean that’s great! And it’s all a small world because Tim Cook is on the board as well. So there is a nice team that may be stepping in to help someone who has been at Nike his entire life and is engendering a tremendous amount of excitement but has never actually been a CEO yet and now maybe he has this team that’s saying hey, we got your back.” http://spr.ly/6044qIqmm
