A few weeks ago we shipped "Dynamic Discounts". Subscription merchants absolutely LOVE it, but there's one problem. Dynamic Discounts let you offer different discounts on different months of your subscription. It can be used a lot of ways. For example, offer an additional 10% discount after month 6 to encourage retention. Or, one of the biggest ways it's used is to offer a huge discount month one to help with conversion, and then switch to the regular Subscribe & Save discount month two. This is actually a GREAT promotion to run over the holidays. Give the highest discount to customers if they subscribe. For example, run your 25% off BFCM sale this year for one-time orders, but make it 50% off if they subscribe! Use Dynamic Discounts to then switch to the regular price month two. The problem was, until now there was no way to force subscribers to stay subscribed for a period of time. This meant someone could subscribe to get the big discount and then cancel immediately after. Now, based on the data we've seen, this actually very rarely ever happened, but it still could. So we're shipping a new feature now that allows you to set a minimum required subscription length before customers are allowed to cancel. You can set it any length you like! They simply won't see a cancel button until that time. This will be good if you're giving away bonus products the first month (t-shirt, hat, shaker bottle etc) and you want to make sure they at least stay subscribed for 3 months to recoup the cost. It's ALSO great if you're using Dynamic Discounts to offer a steep discount month one, and then regular price month two and on. Now you can really offer a steep discount and make sure they're around for at least a length of time that. makes it worth it. We need your help though. We don't know what to call this feature!
