Redefining what it means to be a Business & Professional Woman
About us
Since 1947, Business & Professional Women (BPW) of Greater Moncton has been part of the Canadian Federation of Business & Professional Women as well as a member of the International Federation of Business & Professional Women. We are a group whose mandate is the improvement of economic, political, employment and social conditions of women. In Moncton, we hold monthly meetings from September to June, which are an opportunity to meet with other business women from the Greater Moncton area as well as to develop both personally and professionally. Generally, there is a guest speaker, panel or workshop at each meeting covering a diverse range of topics. On an annual basis, we host the Phenomenal Woman Award which is our largest fundraiser. We also award a number of Bursaries and Employability Grants to women in the Greater Moncton area. Keep your eye on our Facebook page and Eventbrite for upcoming event details.

Don't miss our next meeting happening November 5. Join us while Susan Martin talks financial wellness. Banking has become intimidating and uncomfortable, it doesn’t have to be. Too many times Susan meets with clients that are not aware of the tools they have in their financial toolbox or how to best use them to build their future. Susan is passionate about “moving my clients shells” to set them up for success, whether it’s a savings strategy, a purchase, or just restructuring current debt. There are things to know and ways to set ourselves up with a healthy balance. Savings does NOT have to equal sacrifice…let her show you how. Bring your daughters. Give them the information NOW. https://lnkd.in/e56akvdD

Get to know Claire! 🎉 Claire Kelly-Orozco has lived in many parts of Canada, Japan and has traveled to 45 countries, but is proud to call Moncton home. She has been using her education, experience, and three languages to work in the field of immigration and international education ever since. While immigration and international education have always been Claire’s primary focus and career path, she has also been a tireless feminist and an environmentalist for as long as she can remember, which led her into the world of politics. In 2019, she ran in the federal election for the Green Party, quadrupling the Green vote in Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe, and winning the Student Vote. Determined to tackle the climate crisis and get more women into politics while doing it, she also helped form a historic slate of women candidates for the Green Party in the provincial election of 2020. The momentum created in the Moncton area during these elections inspired the creation of Femmocracy Now to continue with the mission of getting more women+ elected to office. Claire continues to pursue her passions of politics, immigration, feminism and environmentalism by running her own immigration business and serving as the Executive Director for Green Party of New Brunswick (the Party with the highest ratio of women+ candidates in this election). She is currently officially on maternity leave from both, but has been volunteering her time in both, almost as soon as she left the hospital with her son, Miguel – who has become quite popular on the campaign trail! Mark your calendars for The 13th Annual Phenomenal Woman Award October 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Legend's Restaurant – the day we come together to celebrate these phenomenal women and their incredible journeys.
