🏆 We Won! 🌟
🏆 We Won! 🌟 Brainbot was voted the Best Poster award at the 16th Annual UHN Brain Injury Conference! Feeling honored, inspired, and a little bit giddy, this win highlights the growing interest and need for innovation in concussion recovery. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved and grateful for the acknowledgment from such a respected community. I want to extend a special thanks to our principal investigator, Anne Hunt and OT research students, Stacy Ma, Ava Peill. Their hard work, dedication, and insightful analysis were instrumental in our success. The conference also gave me the chance to connect with some of the most incredible therapists and clinicians in the Toronto area, including our OT advisor Jenni Diamond and my former concussion quarterback, now colleague, Melissa Biscardi, RN, BSc, MSc, PhD (c). Their wisdom and support are invaluable to our journey. This year's conference was truly unreal. Not only did we have the opportunity to present Brainbot's first research poster, but we also immersed ourselves in the latest research and best practices for diagnosing and managing mild traumatic brain injury. The quality of discussions and the depth of knowledge shared were astounding. I’ll share my favourite insights throughout the week. None of this would have been possible without the incredible dedication and brilliance of our team. A huge shout-out to Adam Shedletzky, Charlie Berg, Chia-Jen Yeh, Vladyslava Sysenko, Paul Meister and all our former OT students who played a part in this journey. Your hard work is truly making a difference. We're thrilled by the recognition and even more excited about what we're creating together. It's time to spread the joy! If you’re in Canada and on the path to recovery from a concussion, we invite you to experience Brainbot. Get started at www.brainbot.co/sign-up and unlock 1 month of free access with the promo code FEBCONF, valid until the end of February. For clinicians interested in integrating Brainbot into your practice, I'd love to connect you with our early access program. Just drop me a message, and let's make concussion recovery more supportive and insightful together. Here's to further innovating and making a difference in the lives of those recovering from concussions. The journey continues, and I'm excited for what's ahead. #BrainInjury #concussion #ConcussionManagement #UHN #occupationaltherapy #healthcareinnovation #ai #digitalhealthcare #medtechinnovation

Hi, I’m Shelley! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m an occupational therapist and co-founder of Brainbot. I’ll get into Brainbot in the coming posts. But first, let’s talk about these photos. In the first photo, I’m playing in the water with my daughter, seemingly enjoying a happy vacation moment. What you don't see is my personal battle - about 1 month into my 8 month concussion recovery. You don’t see my headaches, dizziness, or anxiety. You don't see the time I spent resting in bed before and after this moment. In the second photo, I'm on stage at the Collision Conference, kickstarting my Brainbot journey. Here, I had just left my clinical job to fully dedicate my career to transforming the concussion recovery journey. These snapshots are more than just memories; they embody the persistence, strength, and courage it took not just to overcome my concussion but also to channel this experience into creating Brainbot. They're chapters in my story as an occupational therapist and a concussion survivor. I deeply understand the invisible struggles and the fragmented path of concussion recovery. Stay tuned for more about this journey. I’m here not just to tell my story, but to offer education, resources, and support as we work together to redefine the way we approach concussion recovery. If you have a story to share or thoughts on this journey, I’d love to hear them! #concussion #concussionrecovery #concussionawareness #occupationaltherapy #healthtechinnovation #AI #medtech #digitalhealth
