A transformative week for Ontario's life sciences ecosystem at The MedTech Conference concluded in the City of Brampton, leaving a lasting impact. The Invest Brampton - Economic Development Office was excited to host a high-profile delegation of international partners in our city this past Friday, wrapping up an eventful week. We are proud to continue collaborating with key ecosystem partners to grow the City of Brampton's MedTech sector and establish our city as a pivotal player in the global life sciences landscape. Our tour highlighted the cutting-edge innovations driving healthcare advancements in Brampton: 🔹 BHive International Incubator: We kicked off with a discussion on the critical role of global collaboration at B-Hive, a hub for scaling MedTech companies. Here, startups, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders come together to create game-changing healthcare solutions. 🔹 William Osler Health System: Next, we visited William Osler Hospital, the first in Canada to offer in-house liquid biopsy testing, revolutionizing cancer care by providing earlier, more precise diagnoses and personalized treatment paths. 🔹 Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Medicine: We heard from Canada’s newest medical school, centered on five visionary pillars: community-centric care, culturally respectful healthcare, leveraging technology, empowering future physicians, and prioritizing patient outcomes through modern education. 🔹 Sheridan College: Our final stop showcased how Sheridan College has integrated HoloAnatomy technology into its health programs, revolutionizing learning with a 3D mixed-reality platform that enhances anatomy education for nursing, kinesiology, and athletic therapy students. It was a privilege to host this delegation along with our Innovation District partners including Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Toronto Metropolitan University, Brampton Venture Zone by TMU, Altitude Accelerator, Brampton Angels and highlight Brampton’s rapidly advancing MedTech ecosystem. We are excited about the future, as we lay the groundwork for global MedTech investments and collaborations, driving healthcare innovation and solidifying Brampton as a global leader in life sciences. #InvestBrampton #MedTech #LifeSciences #HealthcareInnovation #InvestmentAttraction #BramptonInnovation #MedicalAdvancements #TorontoMedTechConference #WilliamOsler #SheridanCollege #BramptonEcosystem #InnovationandTechnology
