Digital technology can be a game-changer for philanthropy centers—bringing stories to life, connecting donors to impact, and inspiring action. But too often, organizations invest in digital without a clear strategy, leading to underwhelming results (or worse, black screens and outdated content). Here are five key lessons I’ve seen make or break digital success in mission-driven spaces: 🔹 Know What's Sustainable For Your Organization – The best tech isn’t always the flashiest. Choose solutions that match your team’s capacity and avoid piecemeal systems that don’t integrate well. 🔹 Bring IT in Early – If IT isn’t on board, you’re in trouble. Infrastructure, support, and content management need to be planned from the start, not as an afterthought. 🔹 Content is Paramount – Who are you speaking to? What do they need to see, feel, or do?
