Apprentice Workplace Learning Tip #1 : Offer Holistic Supports Irving Shipbuilding, Unifor MWF Local 1, Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) and the Virtual Learning Strategy Program (VLS), are providing these holistic supports for apprentices in the shipbuilding sector: 1.Workplace Coaching  2.Skills Enhancements  3.VLS interventions such as assessments, assistive technology, and development of a customized learning plan.  The Workplace Coaching and Learning Strategist Supports for Unifor Apprentices at Irving Project will be implemented from 2024 to 2028. Accompagnement sur le lieu de travail  2. Amélioration des compétences  3. CAF-FCA’s National Mentor Development Program is now accepting applications! The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum is currently accepting applications for our Mentor Development Program, and we’re looking for women and gender diverse individuals in the trades to join us. Along with learning new skills and practical tips from subject matter experts, participants will receive coaching and mentorship from experienced tradespeople. Additionally, participants will learn alongside a community of their peers and will have many opportunities to develop lasting relationships with other women and gender-diverse individuals in the trades.
