Aujourd’hui, l’Association dentaire canadienne (ADC) se joint au reste du pays pour souligner la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation, une journée qui coïncide avec la Journée du chandail orange et qui reconnaît les conséquences tragiques des pensionnats, les enfants disparus, les familles laissées pour compte et les survivants de ces institutions. « Alors qu’en ce jour important, nous nous recueillons et rendons hommage aux enfants qui ne sont jamais rentrés chez eux, ainsi qu’aux survivants des pensionnats, à leurs familles et à leurs communautés, notre cheminement vers la réconciliation - en tant qu’individus et en tant que professionnels - est encore renforcé. Today, CDA joins the rest of Canada to acknowledge the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation—a day which coincides with Orange Shirt Day and recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the survivors of these institutions. “As we reflect and honour the children who never returned home, as well as survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities, our journey towards reconciliation—as individuals and professionals—is further reinforced on this important day.
