In case you missed it... CDHA held an amazing event in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago marking a return to our first in-person national conference since 2019. More than 650 participants from across Canada and the United States, including dental hygienists, speakers, and industry representatives, attended this exciting event that offered three days of professional development, networking, and notable sessions and greetings, including a special appearance during the opening ceremony by the Honourable Mark Holland, Minister of Health. Minister Holland announced that Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) fee parity for independent dental hygienists will start in the new year. Check out all the highlights and access the photo gallery. Mark your calendar! We look forward to seeing you on October 18, 2025, in Toronto for the dental hygiene symposium held in collaboration with the American Academy of Periodontology. https://lnkd.in/e_PVUb_e

Today's #mondaymotivation is a staff pick from Angie D'Aoust from the wise Sarah McVanel, MSc, CSP, PCC, CHRL, CSODP Just because it doesn’t change the world or bowl people over doesn’t mean it’s not magical. Progress is excellence buried and often disregarded as insignificant. Every step forward (or back) is a vote for what matters. Movement is the so so juicy. We overinflated the value of outcomes, we revere goal setting, we aspire to the big shiny vision. Yet, every tiny marker, step, nudge forward is the real hero behind success. It is what makes career, academic, relationship, and personal excellence possible. #selfrecognition #flipsideoffailing

CDCP Launches Paper Claim & Preauthorization Processes As of November 1, the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) accepts paper claims for all services covered under the plan using a standard claim form. In addition, the CDCP is also launching the preauthorization process for certain oral care services. As you may recall, Health Canada updated the CDCP Dental Benefits Guide in October with information on the supporting documentation necessary for services requiring preauthorization and requests for services above frequency limits. Please review the guide (English or French) to familiarize yourself with the documentation needed to present a preauthorization request. https://lnkd.in/eJtHwTAa
