About us
The Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region & South Simcoe Branch was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illnesses. We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it. Through several locations across York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people to achieve their optimum level of mental health. We believe in: Client and Family Centred – Through partnership, accountability and action. Culturally Competent – To provide the best service and work experience. Innovation – To bring value to our community. CMHA, York Region & South Simcoe Branch is part of the one of the oldest voluntary health organizations in Canada. Each year across Canada, CMHA provides services to more than 100,000 people through the efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff in local branches. Our Mission: As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.
