This weekend marked a heartfelt milestone as we celebrated our 20th annual Gift of Time Gala, presented by Nicola Wealth. For two decades, our incredible community has come together in support of Canuck Place children and families, creating a legacy of compassion, care, and the precious gift of time. We were deeply moved by the Ho and Domingo siblings, who shared memories of their brothers, Mitchell and Kristian, who passed away on the Canuck Place program. Their stories reminded us that time is truly a gift, and the importance of creating lasting memories together. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported this special anniversary. Together, we raised over $1.63 million, helping ensure that families can continue to receive the essential care they need to focus on what matters most—creating moments with their loved ones. Here’s to 20 years of lives touched by your generosity. Thank you for walking this journey with us💜#GOTGala #CommunitySupport #CanuckPlace

It's National Pain Awareness Week, and an essential part of Canuck Place care is ensuring all the children on our program are supported with pain management. The journey that Canuck Place families navigate to ensure their child's pain is properly addressed and managed can be a long and challenging one. One of the key focuses of the Canuck Place Research Initiative is exploring better pathways for pain management. "When I hear the phrase “Gift of Time,” I think of the chance to give back to families, allowing them to spend more precious moments with their loved ones. As a father, I deeply empathize with what these families are going through, and it’s important to support them during these challenging times. Axis Insurance has been proud to sponsor Canuck Place Children’s Hospice since 2017, helping to make a difference in their lives." — Alex Meier, President & CEO
