On April 1st, Capital celebrated 2️⃣ 0️⃣ years of engineering excellence! 👏 In collaboration with Alley Kat Brewery, to commemorate this milestone, Capital decided to have a little bit of fun by designing a special company branded beer logo, went through vigorous taste tasting (because quality control is very important), and decided on the flavours of Mangolorian and Scona Gold! 🍻 A special shoutout and great big thank you to Alley Kat for making the process seamless and so much fun! 🙌 Cheers to us, and cheers to all of you! Here's to another 20 years of collaboration, trust, and growth within our communities, teams, clients and partnerships 🎉 #CapitalEngineering #Milestone #Anniversary #20Years #FutureForward #AlbertaBusiness #AlbertaEngineers #Celebration #Brewery #Local #YEG

On Thursday, in honour of the Fall Harvest, Capital gathered to share a meal that celebrates the cultural and seasonal traditions of Alberta's Indigenous peoples 🍴 This special time of year reflects: 🍂 Season of Preparation: The Fall Harvest marks a time to gather and preserve the abundance of the land, preparing for the winter ahead. 🍂 Community Gathering: It emphasizes coming together, sharing food, and ensuring collective well-being for all. 🍂 Connection to the Land: Indigenous peoples honor the land's gifts and live in harmony with nature’s cycles, respecting the balance of life. Lunch was catered by Tee Pee Treats Indigenous Cuisine – special thanks to Curtis Cardinal, a proud member of Whitefish Lake First Nation, for the delicious meal consisting of seasonal soups, Bannock and bison burgers. Mmm - the employees are already asking if you'll be back next year ⁉️ It was a great afternoon celebrating community, culture, and connection 🤝 #EmployeeEngagement #DreamTeam #GreatPlaceToWork #FallHarvest #YEG #TruthAndReconciliation #AlbertaEngineers #TheCapitalWay #LocalCuisine

September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day holds immense significance as we come together to honour Indigenous voices and experiences, acknowledge the painful truths of our shared history, and work collaboratively towards a brighter, more equitable tomorrow. September 30th is also Orange Shirt Day. In recognition of this, we encourage all team and our network to wear orange on this day. Why an orange shirt? The roots of Orange Shirt Day can be traced back to the experiences of Phyllis Webstad, a residential school survivor. On her first day at residential school, she wore an orange shirt, gifted to her by her grandmother. School staff confiscated her cherished orange shirt, leaving her with a sense of shame and loss. The orange shirt represents the loss of identity, culture, and self-esteem that countless Indigenous children endured throughout Canada’s history. At Capital, our goal in this journey is to work collaboratively with Indigenous Peoples, so our work can result in benefits to the land and to all of those that call it home. #TruthAndReconciliation #EveryChildMatters #OrangeShirtDay #CapitalEngineering #TheCapitalWay
