Aujourd'hui marque la fin d'un voyage – et quel voyage – qui aura duré près d’une décennie, dont quatre années de travail acharné. Tant de nuits passées à sculpter du bois, à découper du carton et à faire de petites briques en styromousse pendant que tout le monde dormait. À créer des arbres faits de papier journal tordu. À coller des biscuits pour créer une maison de bonbons dans laquelle pourraient entrer des Barbies. Tout cela dans le sous-sol de mes parents, car je n'avais pas d'espace chez moi pour tout entreposer. Tant de fins de semaines à travailler l'histoire, les personnages et les décors. Tous ces formulaires remplis pour des concours, dont plusieurs nous auront permis de voyager et de présenter ce beau projet aux États-Unis et en Allemagne. Toutes ces heures à travailler avec des gens formidables, avec des collègues devenus amis sur un projet fait avec cœur et passion. Ce voyage, c’est aussi une pandémie qui aura duré trop longtemps. Une crise de l'industrie interminable. Ce voyage m’aura fait faire tant de sacrifices, mais j'aurai certainement appris, autant sur le domaine que sur moi, pendant tout ce processus. Ce projet aura été toute ma vie durant plus que les dernières années. Aujourd’hui, il est entre vos mains. C’est maintenant à votre tour d’entreprendre le voyage proposé par Once a Tale. Today marks the end of a journey – and what a journey – that lasted almost a decade, including four years of hard work. So many nights spent carving wood, cutting cardboard, and making little Styrofoam bricks while everyone slept. Creating trees made from twisted newspaper. Gluing cookies to create a candy house the size Barbies dolls could fit in. All of this in my parents' basement, because I didn't have space at home to store everything. So many weekends working on the story, on the characters and on the settings. All these forms filled out for competitions, several of which allowed us to travel and present this beautiful project in the United States and Germany. All these hours working with great people, with colleagues who have become friends on a project done with heart and passion. This journey is also a pandemic that has lasted too long. A never-ending industry crisis. This journey will have also been one of so many sacrifices, but I will certainly have learned a lot, both about this industry and about myself, during this whole process. This project will have been my whole life for more than the last few years. Today it is in your hands. It is now your turn to embark on the journey offered by Once a Tale.
