CARO Analytical Services is a full service environmental, cannabis, and food testing laboratory with locations in Richmond, Burnaby, Kelowna, Edmonton, Victoria, and Whitehorse. Last week the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to a scientific trio who developed an AI model to predict the structure of proteins from their amino acid sequences. With this tool, humans are able to predict protein structures and build our own proteins with specific functions, including some that can decompose plastic! Please note that CARO’s offices will be closed on Monday October 14th for the long weekend. If you forgot about the long weekend (it happens!), note that our Richmond, Kelowna and Burnaby labs are open on Saturdays, and our Edmonton lab has an after-hours option for your convenience. All labs resume normal hours on Tuesday October 15th. Contact your Account Manager or email info@caro.ca for after-hours access in Edmonton.
