We all know games are fun, but did you know they’re also crucial in developing kids’ executive functioning skills, and help to foster connection? Bryan Fleet, mental health therapist here at CASA Mental Health recently chatted with Global News about how games can help develop skills like turn-taking, direction following, planning and strategizing: https://heyor.ca/C7dyGj

Thank you for your support!
We had the distinct honour of attending the CASA Carnival in Edmonton on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, as a proud Midway Sponsor, and it was awesome! This incredible circus-themed gala was an evening of captivating aerial performances, cirque acts, live music, and gourmet cuisine, all in an atmosphere filled with magic and elegance. The evening had a powerful purpose—to make a difference for Alberta children, youth, and families facing mental health challenges. We’re honoured to play a small part in this mission and we encourage you get involved at casamentalhealth.org.

Fund Development Manager specializing in sponsorship, events, and relationship building, connecting organizations to the community through mission-focused creative engagements.
My heart is full. On Friday, I was reminded of the power of community as we hosted the CASA Carnival at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Looking around the room at the long-time supporters, staff, volunteers, corporate partners, and board members, I was struck by what our collective action has accomplished. We are remaking the mental care system in the province for kiddos, and it is in large part due to the folks assembled and countless other donors and partners from around the province. CASA Mental Health continues to work towards the dream of an Alberta with shorter wait times and more support for kiddos and their families. We are blessed to collaborate with so many partners. The organizations, businesses, and donors that support us are legends and help us not for recognition opportunities but to make Alberta a world leader in Mental Health for children, youth, and families. It is my honor to play a small part in working with all these contributors as we build a better Alberta for my nieces and nephews than my generation had. CASA Mental has done great things, and I assure you we are just getting started. #Mentalhealthmatters #yeg #youaintseennothingyet

It was an honor to represent my team and engage in conversations that directly impact our shared goal: ensuring that children receive quality mental health care. The event reinforced the importance of the work we do at CASA. It was both inspiring and humbling to witness the collective energy and commitment in the room, all focused on improving mental health support for children, families, and communities. Thank you to the powerful network of advocates, partners, and professionals who are dedicated to ensuring timely access and quality mental services to children, youth, and their families and supporting CASA. I am beyond grateful for this experience! Thank you to everyone involved in making the evening unforgettable and impactful, especially John Markey, you rocked it my friend! Here's to continuing the very important work of ensuring our children and youth have access to timely and quality services across Alberta.
