On September 25, Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals (CAUFP) participated in the Newcomer Agency Fair, held at Metro Hall in Toronto. The event was hosted by Toronto Employment and served as a vital resource for newcomers and residents alike. At the CAUFP booth, attendees were provided with information and guidance on navigating the financial industry, professional development, and community engagement. The fair brought together diverse organizations with a shared mission—to equip participants with the tools and inspiration needed for personal and professional success in Canada. This collaboration underscores CAUFP’s ongoing commitment to supporting Toronto’s growing newcomer community, and its residents while creating pathways for inclusive success.

What an incredible start to this season! In September, we partnered with Black Ties for a fantastic event, launched our No Boundaries Summit, and in early October, connected with our Western Chapter to discuss the power of mentorship and networking with Henry Flower, Chi Iliya-Ndule, and Sherry Sweeny. It’s been rewarding to see how much impact these events have, and it drives us to keep offering more opportunities that empower you. Our team has also been thrilled to engage with newcomers in Canada through our growing outreach initiative, expanding our mission to support even more professionals on their journey. This sense of community fuels our passion to deliver quality experiences and resources that support your growth. I’m excited to announce that our scholarships and bursaries are also in full swing—stay tuned for the Paget Warner Scholarship recipients! And don’t miss out on the Agile Project Management Program with Skill Hat, exclusive to CAUFP members. It’s an incredible chance to learn from industry experts, gain mentorship, and boost your career prospects. If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to become a member or volunteer. Join us in creating a supportive and dynamic community that empowers and uplifts. Together, we can achieve even greater impact. I’d love to hear your feedback on how we can continue to serve you better. Here’s to a season of growth, connection, and opportunity! Warm regards, Justina Ikwu CAUFP President president@caufp.ca
