An estimated 20% of adults are neurodivergent. Some lawyers may not know they are neurodivergent and others may fear disclosing due to the associated stigma. As more firms develop strategies to support neurodivergent lawyers, Christine Murray encourages others to join them in her BarTalk article: https://bit.ly/3YMQNQs

Today is Indigenous Veterans Day and Monday is Remembrance Day. CBABC encourages everyone to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who fought in wars, past and present, to secure freedom from tyranny. As we reflect on this, let’s consider how we can act to uphold the rule of law so that the sacrifices of the past are not in vain.

Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch reposted this
The Canadian Bar Association is deeply saddened by the passing of The Honourable Murray Sinclair, former judge and senator. A trailblazing leader, Mr. Sinclair was the first Indigenous judge appointed in Manitoba. As the chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, he courageously led the work of uncovering painful and difficult truths about Canada's residential school system, amplifying the voices of survivors and bringing their stories to the forefront of our collective consciousness. His work helped us progress on the path toward healing and justice for Indigenous communities. In 2018, he received the CBA President's Award in recognition of his lifelong public service and contribution to social justice in Canada. We would like to offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all those touched by his passion and service. https://bit.ly/40zwTcK Photo credit: CBC (Justin Tang/The Canadian Press)
