𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. They challenge you. They expand your thinking. They remind you of who you are and what you’re capable of. This week, I had the privilege of being in one of those rooms—a space filled with incredible women who are building, leading, and showing up for themselves and each other. Donna Smith-Major and I made the trek from Halifax to Port Hawkesbury for the Centre for Women in Business (CWB) Networking event, and let me tell you—it was worth every mile. Because when you surround yourself with women who are ambitious, generous, and genuinely invested in each other’s success, something shifts. You gain clarity. You find unexpected opportunities. You realize you’re not doing this alone. A huge shoutout to Eirinn Fraser for not only hosting this event but for the incredible work she does every single week leading Coffee Talk—a space where women entrepreneurs connect, learn, and lift each other up. Eirinn, your dedication to fostering community is inspiring, and I’m grateful to be part of it! That’s why I make the effort to show up. Because entrepreneurship can be lonely—but in the right rooms, it doesn’t have to be. If you’re a woman in business, my best advice? Find your people. Get in the room. Make the connections that will stretch you, support you, and remind you of your own brilliance. Where have you found your most inspiring business connections? I met some amazing women including Rachelle Samson, Tanya Wall, CFRE, Morene Roberts, Monica McCarthy, Tracy McLellan, Melanie White, Kimberly Desveaux while we were entertained with the music and story telling of Leona Burkey. #WomenInBusiness #Networking #CommunityMatters #ShowUp #CoffeeTalk

Atlantic Canada businesses know how to weather a storm! We’ve seen it time and time again, when challenges arise, our business owners don’t sit back and wait for solutions. They step up, support each other, and find a way forward. With the current economic climate creating uncertainty for businesses across Canada, now is the time to double down on something we can control: keeping our dollars local. Two opportunities to meet with local for corporates and #diversesuppliers: St. John’s Newfoundland – April 30th Halifax – June 5th Register here: https://lnkd.in/gkYYkPXk
