  • Thanks for the support Suliat Abdulkareem , it was a pleasure to have you volunteer at our stand for the Africa Centre Herwake Conference & Exhibition Event!

I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Cerial Projects Services at the HERwake Conference & Exhibition, hosted by Africa Centre. The theme, "Awaken the Giant Within: Empowering Women, Igniting Change," was truly reflected in every moment of the event. It was an honour to contribute to such a powerful initiative supporting Black female entrepreneurs. I also had the privilege of meeting some amazing leaders: Honorable Uzoma Asagwara, Minister of Health, Seniors, and Long-term Care Honorable Jamie Moses, Minister of Economic Development, Investment and Trade, and Natural Resources Councillor Janice Lukes, Deputy Mayor of the City of Winnipeg Tolulope Adebayo, ARPA, ACIM Hearing from phenomenal panellists like Zita S. , Delia Veronica Joseph ,Alanna Keefe, Valeria Ajayi, and Uchenna Nnadi was so inspiring. Their stories and insights left me with renewed motivation to contribute to change in my community. The event was not only a great space for learning but also for meaningful networking. I left with new ideas, stronger connections, and a deeper appreciation for the power of women in leadership and entrepreneurship. A special thank you to the organisers and supporters, including Prairies Economic Development Canada and RBC, for fostering such an empowering space for women. To my co volunteers Divinefavour Adakpo (ACIA) and Rosemary thank you for making it fun 😊 #HERwake #BlackFemaleEntrepreneurs #Empowerment #Networking #Inspiration #WomenInBusiness #WinnipegEvents
