A gorgeous week wrapping up our First Nations Zero Waste Ambassador Program and The Zero Heroes program from our partners from the Planet Protector Academy at the beautiful Bigstone Community School 🧡 It was lovely to engage with super curious and caring students. During the last week, the students took care of the worms and fed them with their food scraps and coffee grounds. As part of our upcycling class, they also made a planter using recycled tin cans and corrugated carboard where they planted edibles using their worm castings (worm poop). They did a great job following Mother Earth natural cycles, and carrying on Indigenous ways of living.
