CIFAL York and ADERSIM are proud to collaborate on the new Jasper Wildfire Recovery and Reconstruction Symposium being held in 2 weeks! The recent Jasper wildfire has left a lasting impact on communities, ecosystems, and infrastructure, underscoring the urgent need for effective recovery and reconstruction strategies. As communities rebuild, this symposium seeks to gather experts, stakeholders, and community members to share insights, research, and innovative practices for wildfire recovery and long-term resilience. Highlights from Futurecode’s exhibit at the VR Open House 2.0 by CIFAL York 🚀 What an incredible event! The VR Open House 2.0 organized by CIFAL York at York University ADERSIM Lab was a huge success. We were honored to attend and connect with faculty, staff, students, tech enthusiasts, integrators and visionary leaders from diverse fields like finance, psychology, fire & safety, disaster management and construction. It was amazing to see the cutting-edge VR research happening at York - from traffic management simulations by Ahmad Muhammad to immersive experiences in diversity, equity & inclusion, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation! A big thank you to Professor Ali Asgary, Mahbod Aarabi, Francesco del Carpio (M.DEM) and Ahmad Mohammadi for putting together this incredible showcase. Futurecode's collaboration with CIFAL York and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) gives us great hope to see Spatial Computing, AR/VR and AI researches to be applied across so many disciplines. We also had great conversations with VR ecosystem leaders from Virtual Reality companies and professors with their cutting-edge work. Can't wait to see what the future holds! Presented in collaboration between CIFAL York and ADERSIM, this VR Open House aims to create an environment where students, researchers and the public can openly experience, explore, and discuss VR technology and its applications can contribute to VR capacity building. We are proud to provide an opportunity for academics, researchers, and practitioners to showcase the amazing work they are doing in the realm of virtual reality and simulations! Some of our partners for this event include: - Occupied VR Inc. will let you experience being an astronaut taking a space walk on the International Space Station. Experience zero gravity and view the Earth from orbit! - UNIVRS.CO will be showcasing their demo boxes for power electrical unit sales and demonstration training. This innovation helps reduce the cost and risk to companies while still allowing them to demonstrate their products and functionalities! - Futurecode will be demonstrating applications related to high-risk industries, real estate, and education. These scenarios include fire extinguishing, working from heights, pre-construction demos, and an electricity lab experiment!
