  • The City of Brampton is thrilled to announce the launch of the Youth Hockey Development Program as part of the #BramBudget2025 and ongoing efforts to provide more recreation and sports opportunities. In partnership with Phil Oreskovic, former Canadian professional hockey player and Brampton native, these FREE programs will offer youth ages 4-15, a chance to learn the fundamentals of hockey right at their local outdoor rink across #Brampton. ❄️ Starting February 7, each 50-minute session will focus on building essential hockey skills such as skating, passing, shooting and teamwork, all while having fun and fostering a love for the game! Be sure to visit the Ready, Set, Play team at each location and snap a picture with #BramptonRecreation mascot, Buzz at the kick off event! Sessions are available at 5 outdoor rinks across the city (check rink status before heading out) and participants are required to bring their own equipment including skates, CSA-approved helmet with face mask, shin pads, hockey stick and gloves. 🏒 This is just one of the many ways Brampton is working to create more inclusive and accessible sports programs for youth. Let's get active, have fun and build a stronger community together! For more info, visit https://lnkd.in/g3nHqZfQ
