After a year of challenges and displacement due to last summer’s devastating fires in the Northwest Territories, members of the K’atl’odeeche First Nation in Hay River are beginning to return home. We’re honoured to have played a part in this important journey by delivering 16 modular homes, creating safe and comfortable spaces for the elders and families of the Nation. Our dedicated team at Clark Builders worked tirelessly to clear lots, level them for flood resilience, and install new septic systems, water tanks, and essential electrical and plumbing connections. The moment residents moved into their new homes was deeply emotional, marking a significant milestone for the community. We’re thrilled to be at the Integrated Project Delivery Alliance (IPDA) Conference in Vancouver today and tomorrow! This event is an incredible opportunity to connect, share insights, and deepen our understanding of IPD. Our team from Clark Builders is proudly represented by Jared Jorgenson and Jordinn Martin, along with industry leaders Scott Benoit and Aaron Corser, who will share their expertise at the conference. Scott Benoit, Director of Project Development, will lead Workshop #3: Vernon Active Living Centre—Creating a Culture for Innovation and Improvement. With over 20 years of experience, Scott will discuss building with purpose, responsibility, and sustainability because construction is about more than just structures; it’s about shaping spaces that stand the test of time. Aaron Corser, Project Executive, will participate in Hot Topics Roundtable #2: Overhead, Profit, Rates & Forecasting. A champion of lean construction and the IPD delivery model, Aaron brings 25 years of experience focused on driving collaboration and innovation in project delivery. Last weekend, Clark Builders proudly took part in the 49th Annual Gary Stroich Bridge Building Competition at Whitemud Park. Organized by NAIT’s Construction Engineering Technology program, the event is a fun, hands-on challenge where teams race to build, test, and dismantle a two-rope suspension bridge, all in support of the Edmonton Food Bank. It was an incredible team-building experience for our "CB Army," and we’re already looking forward to competing in next year’s 50th anniversary event!
