We advocate for inclusive representation in outdoor spaces to break barriers and create accessibility.
About us
A socially conscious business rooted in collective community well-being. We operate a business model that focuses on social change, sharing our success with our local and global communities. We advocate for inclusive representation in outdoor spaces, working with brand partners, businesses, and organizations to break barriers and create accessibility. We subsidize outdoor adventures, create diverse content, and are actively working with our allies to create the change we want to see in the world. We are a collective of BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ adventure seekers. We are the radical YES people. We are the visionaries, the intersectional environmentalists, the world shakers, and community builders. We operate our business on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We stand in solidarity with the Indigenous communities of this land, and work together towards reconciliation

Colour the Slopes was, as usual, a beautiful celebration of joy and adventure for BIPoC and allies. Held in partnership with Tourism Revelstoke and Revelstoke Mountain Resort, the event was playful, healing, and above all community building. Thank you to all of our partners and all of our community members who said "yes" to making this dream of BIPoC on the slopes a reality.

Last month we were excited to connect with Rowing Canada Aviron clubs across Canada to talk about how to build and maintain sustainable, effective relationships with community partners serving equity deserving groups. While there's only so much you can cover in an hour, we found the webinar a valuable experience in sparking conversation, ideas, and action plans for clubs to take with them into the next year of community outreach. Thank you to all those who participated and to Rowing Canada Aviron for the invitation. Special thanks to Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Susanne W., Alethia Clarke, Judith Kasiama and Priya Moraes for their work on making this webinar happen! If your company or organization is interested in engaging us for consultation on sustainable community engagement, drop a comment or send us an email at info@colourthetrails.com.

Proud of our founder, and her work with both Colour the Trails and Trans Canada Trail | Sentier Transcanadien. Thank you for the recognition!
We are constantly inspired by Judith Kasiama! Judith's organization Colour the Trails breaks down barriers for underrepresented communities in outdoor recreation, creating accessible opportunities and making it a more inclusive and welcoming space for all. Through her work, Judith and her team is changing the narrative that people of colour are not active participants in the outdoors and we are honoured to have her on our Board of Directors. 👀 Judith's work was recently featured in Chatelaine: https://lnkd.in/gvGVKXKW You can learn more about Colour the Trails here: https://lnkd.in/gf2i9ssf 🍁 Nous sommes réellement inspirés par Judith Kasiama!

Our spring programs are launching! Do you know people in BC, AB, or ON interested in learning to sail, mountain bike, or climb? Tell them to check out our page and see if there's something there for them. https://lnkd.in/gB2XsHSx Speaking with one of our partners the other day, we were reminded of just how lucky we are that we get to work and play in so many different sports and activities as we adapt our programs with the change of the seasons. Grateful today and always to live, work and recreate on Turtle Island.
