This Friday Aug. 9th at 6pm in Toronto, don't miss CMST alumni and faculty member, Stacy Darko, performing at KOSA at St. Paul's Basilica in Regent Park (83 Power St). This community concert is to support Stacy, who is headed to Los Angeles later this month to record with the great MOCKY (Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Peaches etc). Come show your support!

We are so excited for the upcoming 25th anniversary bash at the Daniels Spectrum on June 15th in Regent Park, Toronto. We started as Regent Park School of Music in 1999 and recently changed our name to COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOLS OF TORONTO. We are in multiple locations, expanding from our work that remains impactful in Regent Park. We are in Jane Finch, at Wandering Spirit school, and also running programs with our partners in the Youth Justice System. Feels like the work (and play!) is just beginning for us, as we are building a more permanent home for our Jane Finch school and so much more. On Sat. June 15th, join us for a 1pm recital, where our students will showcase all of their incredible progress and we'll celebrate our graduating students who are moving on to a new post-secondary chapter next year. Then between 2:30pm and 5:30pm we'll have lots of community programs in the Spectrum on the 1st floor ending with a FREE community concert from the great Jane Finch singer, Jully Black! The ticketed event will begin at 6:30pm in the lobby with cocktails, followed by a sit down concert in the Ada Slaight Hall for a rare performance by Zaki Ibrahim, CMST graduate student Charlotte Siegel, the legend Maestro Fresh Wes and more special guests!
